In August 2021, the Caldor Fire tore through El Dorado County, in the heart of the Sierra foothills we serve. While the fire was still burning, Gold Insurance Solutions and our Gold Nation family came together for a benefit concert for Caldor Fire victims, with live music and neighbors showing up for neighbors. This video captures that day.
The Caldor Fire
The Caldor Fire started on August 14, 2021, near Grizzly Flats, a small community that was largely destroyed in the fire’s first days. It went on to burn across the Sierra, crossed the crest into the Tahoe Basin and forced the evacuation of South Lake Tahoe. For many of the families we serve, it was the fire that made the wildfire risk in our foothills impossible to ignore.

Why this matters to us
